_ [DPiS] usbmount - automatically mount and unmount USB mass storage devices

This package automatically mounts USB mass storage devices (typically USB pens) when they are plugged in, and unmounts them when they are removed. The mountpoints (/media/usb[0-7] by default), filesystem types to consider, and mount options are configurable. When multiple devices are plugged in, the first available mountpoint is automatically selected. If the device provides a model name, a symbolic link /var/run/usbmount/MODELNAME pointing to the mountpoint is automatically created.

The script that does the (un)mounting is called by the udev daemon. Therefore, USBmount requires a 2.6 (or newer) kernel.

USBmount is intended as a lightweight solution which is independent of a desktop environment. Users which would like an icon to appear when an USB device is plugged in should use the pmount and hal packages instead.

おもしろそう．GNU Radio と組み合せてD/AとA/D変換をしてくれるUSB接続で廉価なボードをつかって，なにをするのだろう．HDTV images!とかあるな(http://www.gnu.org/software/gnuradio/) なんだろう．

The Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) is an USB-connected, low-cost, open (design schemas are available under a free license) board featuring four high-speed analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, an FPGA and a microcontroller, making it ideal for capturing or transmitting various signals, usually in combination with GNU Radio.

This package contains a tool for loading firmware and doing other simple administrative tasks for the USRP (usrper), as well as the actual firmware binaries for the microcontroller.

Note that this package does _not_ contain the FPGA bitstrings, which you will probably also want to get something useful out of the USRP. For that, see the package "usrp-firmware" in contrib.

shhfs is a filesystem client based on the SSH File Transfer Protocol. Since most SSH servers already support this protocol it is very easy to set up: i.e. on the server side there's nothing to do. On the client side mounting the filesystem is as easy as logging into the server with ssh.

sshfs is based on FUSE (userspace filesystem framework for Linux), thus you will have to prepare fuse kernel module to be able to use it.

A utility for managing and configuring devices that support the Intelligent Platform Management Interface. IPMI is an open standard for monitoring, logging, recovery, inventory, and control of hardware that is implemented independent of the main CPU, BIOS, and OS. The service processor (or Baseboard Management Controller, BMC) is the brain behind platform management and its primary purpose is to handle the autonomous sensor monitoring and event logging features.

The ipmitool program provides a simple command-line interface to this BMC. It features the ability to read the sensor data repository (SDR) and print sensor values, display the contents of the System Event Log (SEL), print Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) inventory information, read and set LAN configuration parameters, and perform remote chassis power control.

This software changes the resolution of an available vbios mode. It will work with Intel 845G/855GM/865G.

It patches only the RAM version of the video bios so the new resolution is loose each time you reboot. If you want to set the resolution each time you reboot and before to launch X, see /usr/share/doc/855resolution/ README.Debian about configuring the provided initscript.

  近年のゲノム研究の場ではデータベースの存在が必要不可欠です。 全ヒトゲノムの 解明を反映して、現在様々なゲノム関連データベースが 存在しますが，どのデータ ベースも非常に膨大な容量であり，これらを 扱うための性能のよいデータベース マネジメントシステムが望まれて います。PostgreSQL はそうしたデータベース マネジメントシステムの 一つの候補です。ここでは，ゲノムデータベースの いくつかを例にあげ， データベースマネジメントシステムで扱う場合の 問題点とPostgreSQL に期待するところを論じたいと思います。

The aoetools are programs that assist in using ATA over Ethernet. For now, the tools are designed to work with the "aoe" driver for Linux 2.6 kernels. Support for 2.4 kernels and other operating systems would be helpful, but we're starting with 2.6 support.
