_ Skype

最近、大学院のマルチメディアグループ(以下 MMG )で skype を試用しているようで、名前を良く聞く。驚いたことに、 kinnneko さんのMEPIS 2005(http://d.hatena.ne.jp/kinneko/20040410#p1)や SimplyMEPIS-2004.06.26 に Skype 入る(http://d.hatena.ne.jp/kinneko/20040629#p12)などの記事で、MEPIS LinuxでもSkype(http://www.skype.com/home.ja.html)が入っている。

Q. What sound system does Skype for Linux beta use?

A. Skype for Linux beta uses OSS (Open Sound System), using /dev/dsp as its audio input and output device. It works fine also with ALSA and its OSS emulation layer. Native support for other sound systems will be added in the future.

ということで、OSSがちゃんとセットアップしてあれば大丈夫みたい。linux版のダウンロードは、http://www.skype.com/download_linux.htmlからいける。Debianだと、"static binary tar.bz2 with Qt 3.2 compiled in (only if the above don't work, not recommended)"が対象になるのかな。試してみないとわからんです。

私が間違ってました。ごめんなさい。開発は進んでいるということで、こちらをメインのイメージビューアに使うことにしました。

_ mplayer

院生の人が、wmv9で授業などを配信してくれるので、mplayerで頑張ってみる。音声は取れるが、画像は残念ながら取れない。WindowsのDLLを使えばいけるようだが... 送信側が、mpeg4で送信してもらえると、mplayerでもちゃんと見えます。

_ [大学院] ミーティング

9Fの部屋で、ミーティングAirH”ははいりにくいようなので、無線LANもある。SS2004に出たあとだし、他の人も進捗があるので報告。

_ 下調べ

学術情報センタ1Fの所を、下見。やっててよかった。ノウハウget。会場のLANが、Full Duplexでもない10Mなので、配信している時には、自分のPCで中継を見るのは控えてもらわないと....

_ Sargeインストール

大学院のサーバにSargeをインストール、いろいろ自動認識されてかなりうれしい。Adaptechの RAID 1も認識された模様
