関西に台湾より来客。大阪城や心斎橋通り、法善寺横町などを案内する。残念ながら雨なので、アーケードや地下を活用して、必要な場所は傘をさしながらの観光。
たこ焼を焼いてもらったり、大阪らしい経験をしてもらうようにしたつもり。日本スタイルのラーメンがいっぱいある、台湾にも「居酒屋」スタイルのpubはないとのことなので、日本人以外には「居酒屋」というのはエキゾチックみたいだ。

Why do I need this?
The Linux kernel, starting from version 2.6.6, contains a feature called laptop mode. This feature is also present in the Linux 2.4 series starting from version 2.4.23. When you enable this feature, Linux allows your hard drive to spin down more often, resulting in significant power savings. To make laptop mode work, you need to install some scripts and configure some things. The Laptop Mode Tools package contains everything you need to make laptop mode work.

てけとー訳、バージョン 2.6.6以降の Linux カーネルはラップトップモードと呼ばれる機能が含まれている。この機能は、Linux 2.4系だと 2.4.23以降に存在している。この機能を有効にすると、Linux(カーネル)は、省電力にとって重要な結果をもたらす、ハードディスクをより頻繁に停止(Spin down)させる。ラップトップモードを動かすためには、スクリプトををインストールしたり、いくつかの設定を行う必要がある。このラップトップモードツールズパッケージは、ラップトップモードを動かすのに必要な全部が含まれています。

debian etch installer 20061014 11:00ごろ取得。installguiでテスト。taskselの部分や、xorgの解像度選択の部分のバグはまだ直っていないが、その他は単純なテストではおかしい部分は見つけることができなかった。
expertguiをぼちぼちと試す。remote installを試すと 
画像のように文字化けが発生してremote installが続行できない状態のように見える。
Xterm
ちなみに、UTF-8が通るであろうxtermで試してみても、ターミナルの画像 
のように表示がおかしいようだ。

_ mozilla-suite tab拡張
etchになって困ったことの一つに、mozilla-firefoxでは、tab拡張が動くのだが、mozilla-1.7.8ではmozillaがsegvっていることである。.mozillaを消していろいろとテストしたところ、タブ拡張の「ヘヴィ設定」や「作者の設定」を選択するとmozilla-1.7.8がsegvる。「ライト設定」にすると、無事起動する。
mozillaがsargeのバージョニングになっているから...またあとで確認かな
