_ [DPiS] ucarp - A user-space replacement to VRRP -- automatic IP failover

UCARP allows a pair of hosts to share common virtual IP addresses in order to provide automatic failover. It is a portable userland implementation of the secure and patent-free Common Address Redundancy Protocol (CARP, OpenBSD's alternative to the VRRP).

Strong points of the CARP protocol are: very low overhead, cryptographically signed messages, interoperability between different operating systems and no need for any dedicated extra network link between redundant hosts.

昨日より強い雨が降り雷が連発していた。今日の朝になってもまだ断続的に強い雨が降っている。そして雷が、ゴロゴロと鳴っている。あまり外に出たくない天候だ。

printer 系ではなく、ラベルライター系からの進化が (http://casio.jp/d-stationery/nameland/lineup/)である。これも便利なのかもしれないが、DVDの表面に Debian の ロゴや、文字を入れたい場合、プリンター系で印字する方が良い風に思える。

そうすると、プリンタの選択を迷う所。DVDの表面に印刷をするには、表面が printable 加工してあるメディアを使うか、DVD大シールで印刷をする方法が考えられる。

レーザプリンターでは、上記に印字する方法を私が知らない。(というか、そもそもできるのか?)となるとインクジェットプリンターになる。大量に発注できるなら業者に出すという方法もあるだろうが小量ロットでは選択ができない

znzさんに、nkfを使うなら、nkf のオプション -MB -m0 を使う方法があるのではないかとご意見をいただきました。

_ PAGERにlvを設定する時の作法

[Git] git diff と lvの続きです。PAGERに'lv -c'を設定するよりは、環境変数LVにオプションを記述した方がいいのではないか?というご意見をznzさんからいただきました。lessなら環境変数LESSですね。CentOSで試してから書きましたがznzさんによるとパスに空白を含んだ文字列を渡した時に困るのではないかと。

たしかに困りそうな気もするが、空白なら\でエスケープする必要があるような。

上海問屋、ベアSATA HDD3基を出し入れ交換できる多段5インチベイラック(http://plusd.itmedia.co.jp/pcuser/articles/0611/10/news054.html)ってのがあるけど、そのままじゃない。HDDケースでいくつか出来そうなのがあるけど、エプソンのは特許を取っているのかな。

_ sylpheedのキーバインド

昔は、メニューを出してキーを押下したらアクセスキーをカスタマイズできてましたが、最近のGNOMEでは、ユーザが間違えてキーバインドを変更することを防ぐということで別の方法になっているそうだ。

sylpheedのキーバインドを変更したかったので、いったんsylpheedを終了させて、.sylpheed/menurcを直接書き換えるという荒技;-)をしてみました。おかげでマークをつけたメールへ<Alt>pと<Alt>nで即座にアクセスできるようになり、快適になりました。
