binary utilitys for using mapserver with the command line.
MapServer is an OpenSource development environment for building spatially enabled Internet applications.
The MapServer system includes MapScript that allows popular scripting languages such as :
- PHP provided by php4-mapscript.
- Python provided by python-mapscript.
- Perl provided by perl-mapscript.
- Java not provided actualy by those packages.
Mapserver template language, WFS, WMS, WCS are provided by cgi-mapserver.

_ アシストのビル・トッテン氏
私が、アシストのビル・トッテン氏について知っているのは、雑誌の記事からだけである。その記事を読んだ時期は、ロータス123と同じような表計算ソフトであるアシスト・カルクをアシストが世に出していた頃である。((http://smallbiz.nikkeibp.co.jp/members/COLUMN/20040629/105063/)の記事をみると1989年の頃らしい) ビル・トッテン氏は東芝のダイナブックSSを複数台使って自分の仕事の処理速度を加速している。という意味の記事が書いてあった。いまの言葉でいう富豪的アプローチをビル・トッテン氏は採り入れており、氏は待たされる時間をもったいないと感じる人なのだ。と雑誌を読みながら思った記憶がある。
それから長い間、ビル・トッテン氏の名前を見る事は無かったが、たまたま機会があって, 日本の高齢化問題の神話(http://www.ashisuto.co.jp/corporate/totten/data/index.html) というURLを見る機会があった。そのURLの中身に、氏の名前を見て、パソコンの歴史をすこし思い出し、懐かしくなった。

_ [Debian][OpenOffice.org] OpenOffice.org 追加画像集
Ubuntuだと http://archive.ubuntulinux.jp/ubuntu-ja/edgy-ja/sozaiooo_02-3_all.deb あたりだが、Debian だと、opencllipart パッケージに紐付いている、openclipart-openoffice.org, openclipart-png, openclipart-svg などのパッケージ群。ircで話を聞いていると、openclipartが、pngとsvgに別れている理由の一つが、いまのバージョンのOOoが画像を読み込むのに、svgをサポートしていない。(書き出しはできる)という理由があるようだ。
中本くんがやろうとしている、OpenOffice.orgの画像集については、本人に聞いてみよう。今週末に関西 Debian 勉強会で会えるはずなので。
_ 29日、肉の日
グッデイにいったら中本くんにばったり出会う。29日ということで、そこにいた人たちと焼き肉屋へ
木曜日なのに、焼き肉屋は満員ばかり！
そこで、隠れ家的なお店で韓国風焼き肉が楽しめる韓味亭を思い出した。
塩タン、ハサミで切るカルビ、ハラミ、生ユッケ、ゼンマイ、などなど若い人たちの旺盛な食欲はすがすがしいほどだ。
あっという間に皿が片付き、さっくりニラちぢみやタコの煮物でようやくひとごこちのペースに
広範な話に花が咲き楽しいひとときでした。
良い気分転換になりました。もらったヒントをもとにプレゼンをいじってみます。
jobsに対抗するには、Linuxでwiiリモコンだそうです :-)

参加。終始英語でMPを使い果たす。ただ、San Francisco のベンチャーの話などを含めて面白い話を聞けた。基本的にはスタートアップを指向する感じ。テクノロジーな人もいるので個別に話してみないとわからない。
前で発表はしてないが、カメラで人間の手をワイヤーフレームで認識してジェスチャー認識とかね。
