_ [DPiS] oinkmaster - Snort rules manager

A simple script to manage and update Snort rules with the capability of disabling, modifying and enabling specific rules after an update. Oinkmaster will tell you exactly what has changed since your last update, giving you good control of your rules. It also can be used to manage updates from both the official provider (www.snort.org) and from home-grown rulesets.

_ [DPiS] smbldap-tools - Scripts to manage Unix and Samba accounts stored on LDAP

Set of scripts to manage data relative to users and groups stored in an LDAP server. The tools manage POSIX, shadow and Samba (3.0 series) accounts and groups.

This package is used to add/del/mod users and groups in the Linux Samba-OpenLDAP Howto

_ [DPiS] posixtestsuite - POSIX conformance test suite (dummy package)

The POSIX Test Suite is a free (as in speech) test suite with the goal of performing conformance, functional, and stress testing of the IEEE 1003.1-2001 System Interfaces specification in a manner that is agnostic to any given implementation.

This is a dummy package. If you want to run the testsuite, use the source package of the same name (e.g. apt-get source posixtestsuite).

SwingWT is a 100% pure Java library which aims to be a free implementation of Swing and AWT. It drives native peer widgets for your platform from SWT.

This package includes a demo of SwingWT.

_ [DPiS] dnsdoctor - DNS (Domain Name System) checking tool

DNSdoctor is intended to help solving misconfigurations or inconsistencies. It will help you by looking for potential errors and give you a description of the problem and refere you to RFC or other documents; but of course it is still recommanded that you have some basic knowledge of how the DNS works. The DNSdoctor configuration file reflect the policy to use. You can let it select the best test set to apply when checking a zone (use of a reverse delegation profile for .ip6.arpa or .in-addr.arpa, and a generic profile for other TLDs); but on the other hand, you can also force the use of a particular profile or create a new one (for example to test RFC compliance). _ [DPiS] onak - OpenPGP Key Server

onak is an OpenPGP compatible keyserver which supports multiple subkeys, photo ids and path finding between keys. It can provide an HKP compatible interface for use with the --keyserver option of gnupg as well as including a command line tool for querying the key database.

_ [DPiS] qtorrent - BitTorrent client for QT 3.x

QTorrent is a PyQT-based client for the popular BitTorrent software known for allowing users to distribute content without massive bandwidth usage.

Please note that this package includes the BitTornado client by TheSHAD0W and, therefore, does not require the 'bittorrent' package.

_ [大学院] WORKSHOP

sylpheed 山本君と市立大学 大学院でのワークショップについて話をする．sxiで資料を作ってもらう算段になった．

10月1日で，前に面接に来ていた hnakamura氏が入社した．今日のミーティングで明らかになったが，某kawachanが来ることになった．Desktopのまとめもやっていただくとのこと．

採血など。東先生から運動をしても良いというか、積極的にしなさいという指示がでた。１２月中ごろにドレッドミル検査。現在中川先生待ち。

先月末で検収を上げたので、税理士さんへの帳簿と資料の最後の部分をやりはじめる。

_ VMware 6.5 in Debian GNU/Linux Lenny

客先の納品物件に WORD のドキュメントが必要なんで、Debian GNU/Linux Lenny を入れている X200 に VMware 6.5 を使って Windows VISTA business をインストールしました。Lenovo から供給されている Windows VISTA business は OEM のため、MSと同じ条件で Virtual Machine 上に OS をインストールする権利を持つかどうか、問い合わせる先を聞き出せないので、ひとまずあきらめて自分でOSを入手してきました。私の場合、VMware 6.5 の プロパティにて、CD(DVD)ドライブのレガシーエミュレーションを有効にしておかないと、うまくインストールができずに悩みました。

逆に、仮想化ははやっていますが動かす OS のライセンスは確認しておかないと、ライセンス違反になるのでご注意を。GNU/Linux なら、あまり心配しなくてもいいのですが。プロプラエタリな製品は仕方ないですね。VMwareのネットワークの設定をきちんとしていたためか、インターネットでのアクティベーションができました。電話せずに済んで一安心。

VMware 6.5 から　bundle バージョンってのができましたが、これがこれまでのtar.gz版に変わるものみたいです。実行権限をつけて実行すると windows の wizard みたいにあれよあれよという間にインストールできてしまいます。any-any patch で悩まずに済んだし。

普段は、OpenOffice.org でいいのですが、客先へ納品する確認のための最終リファレンスとして WORD インストール。

yc-el for Emacs23 のパッチを集積の続き、yc.elのupstreamで、Emacs23対応とcanna serverとのエラーメッセージの表示問題が解決された、5.2.1がリリースされている。(http://www.ceres.dti.ne.jp/~knak/yc.html#changelog)
