07:46:25 # Life I've hacked planet to auto-detect iso-8859-1 after autodetecting all those japanese character codes so that I can get some Brasilian-portuguese feeds in my news test page. I'll probably need to check out how the upstream code for planet has changed. I've not checked planet very much. Reading the mailing list, I guess the latest code is getting somewhere better about character codesets, but I'm not quite sure how it is done.

22:24:15 # Life I've looked at why linkloop command doesn't exist in Linux. linkloop command apparently is based on 802.2LLC protocol, and Linux probably doesn't natively support such packets. There is a linkloop project that has a userland daemon replying to linkloop packets. The code itself looks pretty trivial.

14:59:45 # Life New month. I've been hacking on pbuilder most of last month. Interesting projects for this month? I might move on to investigating LDAP support for dsh. Who knows.
