21:15:10 # Life I looked at mplayer, and the build system made me puke a bit. They have a hand-crafted configure script with some parts which look like they are copied from autoconf.
21:37:37 # Life somebody files a bug on woody pbuilder. That's rather annoying and depressing to see someone damaged by a very old version of software that I have released and is out of my reach.
22:17:03 # Life Adam Majer pbuilder seems to have stopped within 2 hours. Hmm.
16:26:03 # Life Adam Majer has done pbuilder logs page which looks much better than what I used to do.
19:30:32 # Life My cold is eating me badly, still.
I tried hacking on ecasound / ecawave / ecamegapedal, and noticed that libqt isn't recompiled with gcc 3.2, and that is due to X, and X is confused by libgl1 confusion introduced by mmagallo. The main problem probably comes from the fact that portions of mesa/X is C++ code, and they don't like playing with shared libraries. Yikes.
16:39:13 # Life freshmeat annoucement seems to have its values. Many people noticed wysihtml.
I am feeling pretty much unwell still.
18:41:17 # Life emacs21 doesn't find my autoconf nor automake infor files when I type in C-hC-i. It's probably due to Debian auto* packages having different names for info docs...
I hacked up a configuration that is usable for emacs21, automake 1.7, and autoconf 2.52
(require 'info-look) (info-lookup-add-help :mode 'autoconf-mode :regexp "A[CM]_[_A-Z0-9]+" :doc-spec '(("(Autoconf)Autoconf Macro Index" "AC_" "^[ \t]+- \\(Macro\\|Variable\\): .*\\<" "\\>") ("(automake-1.7)Macro and Variable Index" nil "^[ \t]*`" "'")) ;; Autoconf symbols are M4 macros. Thus use M4's parser. :parse-rule 'ignore :other-modes '(m4-mode))
20:55:01 # Life I updated db2latex script that was floating around to get it working on my document.
01:23:08 # dinstall/dupload debootstrap 0.1.17.15, ecasound2.2 2.2.0-rel-2, mpich 1.2.5-1, whizzytex 1.1.1-2 to be uploaded. dpatch is applied to whizzytex and mpich.
21:11:27 # Today's hack I fixed apt-mode so that interactive installs work.
15:53:03 # Life I've finished reading "Lord Of The Rings". I was up until 5AM last night trying to read it. It's interesting the way it ended.
19:38:45 # Life I'm starting with "The Earthsea Trilogy".
20:03:07 # Life I'm working on bugs on base.debian.net. Many of them are actually trivial.
21:27:28 # Today's hack I've sent a lot of bugreports and patches today, and I've learnt how to use dpatch. That is good.
15:53:10 # Life pbuilder-uml, use proc/exitcode to give exit codes out of UML.
16:11:37 # Life security model of user-mode-linux: UML has access to the host file system through hostfs, and therefore, to protect user from obtaining external privilage, one would need to run UML within a chroot, under a UID that does not match any other user in the system. This sounds harder than it is.
21:20:29 # Life ecasound2.2.0 was released, I've started compiling, but I guess I need a little more tweaking to get it uploaded, yet.
21:31:11 # Life I'm feeling less than good. I've been reading enough of Lord of the Rings. It's a long book, in my standards.
15:32:58 # Today's hack WYSIWYG HTML editor is available
19:07:50 # Life Debian moves over to gcc-3.2 tomorrow.

This seems very biased due to pbuilder.
