Tokyo-area Debian Monthly Meeting for December.
23rd meeting was held last Saturday.
The main topics were: a report on Bug Squashing Party in Japan, and
reflection on the Debian Meeting for this past year.
15 people attended.
-
We discussed the homework; which was the propose the new
style for next year's Debian Monthly Meeting. Some
current good points were raised, such as 'the meeting has
been useful for documenting the current status-quo.'
There was request to do some hands-on style workshop so
that it's easier to not forget. The homework for October
was 'Please show us your /etc/network/interfaces' and that
was very exciting, and similar kind of homework will
arouse more discussion and active development. There was
concern about too-technical nature of the meeting, and
having a log to facilitate later questions was suggested,
but the implementation of such log is not quite
determined.
-
gotom and iwamatsu reported about Bug Squashing Party that
was held the other day. In this BSP, most remaining bugs
for etch were very hard-core bugs, and it was pretty hard
to do. To facilitate the process gotom announced the BSP
to be focused on fixing old bugs maintained by Japanese
maintainers. There was suggestion on having a list of
problems dished out before the actual BSP, which may
facilitate the process of getting things fixed. This
time, BSP was held in an IRC channel, but for future, we
would like to have a physical BSP. To find a good
location it was suggested to send out a call for
information in the mailing list every two months.

I reported this year's activities.
7 meetings were held in the 'usual place', and 6 meetings were held alongside
some other event.
We may proceed in similar manner next year.
In January, the plan for 2007 will be discussed.

Enkai was held in 'Usagi'.
