On Unix-based cluster systems, and such systems where multiple number of computers need to be maintained, there are often cases where host listing needs to be set up as a configuration file. Many software use such configuration file, but each file is often generated independent of each other. The aim is to integrate such process.
update-cluster provides infrastructure for automatically gathering information on machines on the same subnet, and creating configuration file for them.
A system which provides a configuration file /etc/update-cluster/cluster.xml in XML, and generates configuration file for each application automatically.
Many software support update-cluster. It is getting very useful.
update-cluster source can be found in file download area. Binaries are available from other locations, such as Debian.
To compile this application, dancer-xml library is required.
