We can't create woody chroots, because 'mmap' behavior on 0-byte file has changed in the Linux Kernel since, and dpkg depends on it. I wonder if people keep older Debian releases (bo, hamm, rex, ??) in virtual machine these days. It's probably not possible to run them inside chroot.
